In my 19-year career at Enterprise, I chose to look at my dyslexia not as a hidden disability, but as different way of approaching problems. I credit this belief as the reason to my success: I started out washing cars, and I’m now the Head of Risk for my area.
Disclosing my disability when I applied for my placement year with Enterprise meant that I could get the adjustments I needed. Dyslexia can be difficult to deal with but I refuse to let it define me or hold me back. My determination and the support I’ve received so far has enabled me to be successful in my internship.
